AQUACOTE AquaMarine Hull is a silicone-based underwater protection paint, a hull coating offered as a large 6-liter kit in red (RAL3020) color. It is a fouling prevention coating system that utilizes silicone and fluoropolymer technologies to create a smooth surface structure, making it difficult for marine organisms to adhere.
The AquaMarine Hull Base used in this system creates a vinyl-based adhesive layer on the hull, providing color between the epoxy primer and the AquaMarine Hull Finish topcoat. It contains no biocide, solvent, or V.O.C. (volatile organic compounds), and 1 liter of Hull Base theoretically covers approximately 6.5 m².
AquaMarine Hull Finish is a clear, single-component, silicone-based antifouling hull coating. It contains no pigment, solvent, harmful chemicals, or metallic elements. It can be applied to all hulls, including GRP, aluminum, and steel, directly onto new hulls or over Hull Base. It contains no biocide or V.O.C., ensuring no harmful impact on marine life and water quality. 1 liter of Hull Finish theoretically covers 10 m² at approximately 100 microns dry film thickness.
According to manufacturer data, the AquaMarine Hull system is designed to provide advantages in performance and fuel efficiency for at least three years with regular and simple cleaning maintenance. It can be used in areas where traditional toxic paints are not permitted.
