The Guardian is manufactured from corrosion-resistant, high-strength magnesium aluminum, like the Fortress, and using the same precise manufacturing methods. It is produced by utilizing relatively smaller profile molds and making concessions on some features such as the Fortress anchor's adjustable fluke angle, aluminum anodization, and certain manufacturing characteristics.

The precisely manufactured aluminum is at least as strong as steel but half the weight. The flukes have a 32-degree angle and the surface is not anodized. It is of stainless construction and more economical compared to heavy iron anchors.
