ColorKote is a copper-free antifouling paint with a triple-biocide formula. It provides protection against mussels, algae, and other organisms with its components: Econea, zinc omadine, and copper thiocyanate.
Originally formulated for aluminum boats, this ablative paint was developed for use in applications where cuprous oxide biocides can cause galvanic corrosion. It is compatible with all hull types, including fiberglass, steel, and aluminum.
Sea Hawk ColorKote can be used in fresh, brackish, and salt water and holds Lloyd's Register approval. 1 US gallon (3.785 L) of product theoretically covers an area of approximately 40 m² in a single coat.
