The Spurs rope, net, and weed cutter is the Model D version. It is specified with a shaft diameter of 60 mm, outer diameter (A) of 98 mm, dimension B of 171 mm, dimension C of 36 mm, and a minimum mounting clearance of 41 mm. It is manufactured from hardened stainless steel.
On shaft-mounted Spurs cutters, ropes, nets, and weeds that become wrapped around are cut between the cutter blades by the compressive action generated by the propeller's rotation. This occurs before they can wrap around the propeller and cause damage to the operating gearbox.
